๗๙:๒By the meteors rushing,

๗๙:๓By the lone stars floating,

๗๙:๔By the angels hastening,

๗๙:๕And those who govern the event,

๗๙:๖On the day when the first trump resoundeth.

๗๙:๗And the second followeth it,

๗๙:๘On that day hearts beat painfully

๗๙:๙While eyes are downcast

๗๙:๑๐(Now) they are saying: Shall we really be restored to our first state

๗๙:๑๑Even after we are crumbled bones?

๗๙:๑๒They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding.

๗๙:๑๓Surely it will need but one shout,

๗๙:๑๔And lo! they will be awakened.

๗๙:๑๕Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses?

๗๙:๑๖How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa,

๗๙:๑๗(Saying:) Go thou unto Pharaoh - Lo! he hath rebelled -

๗๙:๑๘And say (unto him): Hast thou (will) to grow (in grace)?

๗๙:๑๙Then I will guide thee to thy Lord and thou shalt fear (Him).

๗๙:๒๐And he showed him the tremendous token.

๗๙:๒๑But he denied and disobeyed,

๗๙:๒๒Then turned he away in haste,

๗๙:๒๓Then gathered he and summoned

๗๙:๒๔And proclaimed: "I (Pharaoh) am your Lord the Highest."

๗๙:๒๕So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former.

๗๙:๒๖Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth.

๗๙:๒๗Are ye the harder to create, or is the heaven that He built?

๗๙:๒๘He raised the height thereof and ordered it;

๗๙:๒๙And He made dark the night thereof, and He brought forth the morn thereof.

๗๙:๓๐And after that He spread the earth,

๗๙:๓๑And produced therefrom the water thereof and the pasture thereof,

๗๙:๓๒And He made fast the hills,

๗๙:๓๓A provision for you and for your cattle.

๗๙:๓๔But when the great disaster cometh,

๗๙:๓๕The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour,

๗๙:๓๖And hell will stand forth visible to him who seeth,

๗๙:๓๗Then, as for him who rebelled

๗๙:๓๘And chose the life of the world,

๗๙:๓๙Lo! hell will be his home.

๗๙:๔๐But as for him who feared to stand before his Lord and restrained his soul from lust,

๗๙:๔๑Lo! the Garden will be his home.

๗๙:๔๒They ask thee of the Hour: when will it come to port?

๗๙:๔๓Why (ask they)? What hast thou to tell thereof?

๗๙:๔๔Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof.

๗๙:๔๕Thou art but a warner unto him who feareth it.

๗๙:๔๖On the day when they behold it, it will be as if they had but tarried for an evening or the morn thereof.
